HOW IT WORKS A step-by-step guide to your custom live wedding painting. This guide will walk you through exactly what to expect, from booking to the final piece of art.
1. Reserve Your Date Once you’ve chosen your canvas size, I’ll send over a simple agreement, and collect a non refundable 30% deposit to secure your date officially. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your event. Payments can be made via e-transfer. I’m always happy to answer questions or help you choose the best size and scene for your day.
2. Planning & Inspiration A few weeks before your wedding, we’ll connect to discuss the moment you’d like captured (ceremony, first dance, first kiss, reception, etc.), your venue details, style and any special elements you’d love included, such as your pets, location or meaningful decor.
3. Wedding Day I’ll arrive 1–2 hours before the event to set up and begin painting the background and capturing the setting. There, I will run a short photoshoot of the moment as it happens to use it as my main reference. During the event, I’ll continue painting live, blending in key details and special moments as they unfold. I will paint approximately 4-6 hours in front of guests (depending on the length of the party). Guests enjoy watching the process; it always adds a unique and personal touch to your wedding.
*If you prefer, instead of the live painting, I can compose a painting in my studio from photographs provided by you, anytime after your wedding day (a little more budget-friendly option)
4. Studio Touches After your wedding, I’ll take the painting back to my studio for final refinements, working out details, and applying a UV- and dust-protective varnish to ensure the longevity of the piece. Please allow approximately 3 weeks for the painting to be completed, varnished, and ready to ship.
5. Delivery Once dry and beautifully finished, your painting will be carefully packaged and shipped to your home, ready to hang and enjoy for you and generations to come.
